AN ACT to make appropriations for the state industrial home for girls, for the fiscal years ending June thirty, nineteen hundred twenty-six, and June thirty, nineteen hundred twenty-seven, for maintenance and operation.

The People of the State of Michigan enact:

SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from the general Amounts and fund for the state industrial home for girls, for the fiscal year ending June thirty, nineteen hundred twenty-six, the sum of one hundred ninety-nine thousand four hundred twenty-seven dollars, and for the fiscal year ending June thirty, nineteen hundred twenty-seven, the sum of one hundred ninety-seven thousand one hundred seventy-six dollars, for the purposes and in the specific amounts as follows:

Each of said amounts shall be used solely for the specific purposes herein stated, subject to the general supervisory control of the state administrative board: Provided, That all Proviso. food raised on the farm is also hereby appropriated to said institution for such purpose: Provided further, That the Further proceeds from the sales of surplus food and supplies shall be proviso. paid into the state treasury and credited to the general fund.

AN ACT to make appropriations for the Michigan state sanatorium, for the fiscal years ending June thirty, nineteen hundred twenty-six, and June thirty, nineteen hundred twenty-seven, for maintenance and operation.

The People of the State of Michigan enact:

SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from the general fund for the Michigan state sanatorium, for the fiscal year ending June thirty, nineteen hundred twenty-six, the sum of two hundred eight thousand four hundred fifty dollars, and for the fiscal year ending June thirty, nineteen hundred twenty-seven, the sum of two hundred eight thousand four hundred fifty dollars, for the purposes and in the specific amounts as follows:

Each of said amounts shall be used solely for the specific purposes herein stated, subject to the general supervisory control of the state administrative board: Provided, That all food raised on the farm is also hereby appropriated to said institution for such purpose: Provided further, That the proceeds from the sales of surplus food and supplies shall be paid into the state treasury and credited to the general fund.

AN ACT to make appropriations for the Mackinac Island state park commission for the fiscal year ending June thirty, nineteen hundred twenty-six, for land, buildings, improvements and equipment therefor.

The People of the State of Michigan enact:

SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from the general Amounts and fund for the Mackinac Island state park commission as here- purposes. inafter specified for the fiscal year ending June thirty, nineteen hundred twenty-six, the sum of twenty-one thousand dollars, and for the fiscal year ending June thirty, nineteen hundred twenty-seven, the sum of ten thousand dollars, for the purposes and in the specific amounts as follows:

Each of the above named said amounts shall be used solely for the specific purposes herein stated, subject to the general supervisory control of the state administrative board.

SEC. 2. The state administrative board shall determine the Expenditimes when and the amounts thereof which the condition of the ture. general fund of the state will warrant making expenditures therefrom against the appropriations herein authorized.

SEC. 3. Upon the orders of the state administrative board warrants, the auditor general shall issue his warrants upon the state when issued. treasurer for such sums as shall be allowed by said board, not

exceeding in all the appropriations authorized in this bill.

This act is ordered to take immediate effect.

AN ACT to amend the title and section one of act number one hundred seventy-eight of the public acts of nineteen hundred thirteen, entitled "An act to fix the leave of absence and furlough of officers and men in the police department of cities having a population of over two hundred fifty thousand inhabitants," being section three thousand four hundred seventy-three of the compiled laws of nineteen hundred fifteen, and to add a new section to stand as section two.

The People of the State of Michigan enact:

SECTION 1. The title and section one of act number one hundred seventy-eight of the public acts of nineteen hundred thirteen, entitled "An act to fix the leave of absence and furlough of officers and men in the police department of cities having a population of over two hundred fifty thousand inhabitants," being section three thousand four hundred seventy-three of the compiled laws of nineteen hundred fifteen, are hereby amended and a new section added to stand as section two, said title and sections one and two to read as follows:

TITLE

An Act to fix the leave of absence and furlough of officers and men in the police department of cities having a population of over twenty-five thousand inhabitants, and providing penalties for the violation thereof.

SEC. 1. In cities having over twenty-five thousand inhabitants, officers and men of the police department shall each be entitled to a leave of absence of one day of twenty-four hours off duty in every seven, and a furlough of not less than fourteen days once in each year: Provided, however, That this shall not prohibit the head of a police department from suspending such leave of absence or furlough, temporarily, as a matter of discipline, for insubordination of any officer or man employed by said police department: Provided further, That this act shall not apply to any city unless it shall first have been approved of by a majority vote of the members elect of the legislative body of said city or by a city charter amendment.

AN ACT to make appropriations for the Michigan naval militia for the fiscal years ending June thirty, nineteen hundred twenty-six, and June thirty, nineteen hundred twenty-seven, for maintenance and operation.

The People of the State of Michigan enact:

SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from the general Amounts and fund for the Michigan naval militia for the fiscal year purposes. ending June thirty, nineteen hundred twenty-six, the sum of forty-five thousand dollars, and for the fiscal year ending June thirty, nineteen hundred twenty-seven, the sum of fortyfive thousand dollars, for the purposes and in the specific amounts as follows:
