1733, June 20. Anderson, John, of Freehold, Monmouth Co., Esquire; will of. Eldest son, John, Jr., to have 300 acres of land at Manalpan, part of tract received by deed of gift from John Reid, Esquire, December 8, 1701, part of which land has since been released to testator by Mary and James Miller, by their attorney, John Kinsey, April 12, ―, bounded by James Anderson's land, Mount Brook, Kenneth Anderson's land, and Middle Run. Also to said son, "my Negro Man named Andrew, with all my large navigation books, the large copper furnace and the silver cup." Son James to have 300 acres at Manalpan, in Freehold, bounded by Robert Cumming, Clear Brook, Manalpan River; also negroes Jack and Kate and "my silver hilted sword." Son Kenneth to have land at Manalpan, bounded by Mr. Bartow; also negro Hary and "my scymeter, gold signet ring," etc. Son Jonathan to have land at Manalpan, the testator's bed and "my silver snuff box with what shall hapen to be in it at my decease;" also negro Toney. Daughter Margaret to have £50, negro Judey and great Bible. Daughters-Helena, Anna, Elizabeth and Isabella.
