N New-Year's Day, being a Vol. IX. Saturday, there was, in the m Morning, at Court, a great New Year's Appearance of the great Of-Day celebraficers of State, Foreign Minifters, Nobility, and Gentry, who went to pay their Complements and Refpects to the King, and the Prince and Princefs. of Wales. His Majesty and their RR.HH. went to the Royal Chappel, the Duke of Marlborough carrying the Sword of State; And after Divine Service, in which the Lord Bishop of Norwich, Clerk of the Clofet,

Clofet, officiated, his Majefty went down to the Altar, and made the ufual Offering; In all Points conforming himself to the Rites, Ceremonies, and Ufages of the Church of England; as do alfo, their RR. HH. the Prince and Princess of Wales. Upon their Return from Chappel, his Majefty and their RR.
