SENATE CHAMBER, DES MOINES, IOWA,

JANUARY 13, 1868.

In pursuance of law the Senate of the Twelfth General Assembly convened at 2 o'clock P. M., and was called to order by LieutenantGovernor Gue.

At the request of the President, Rev. W. W. King invoked the Divine blessing.

On motion of Senator Parvin, George P. Abel, of Polk county, was elected Secretary pro tem.

The roll was called of the senators holding over, and the following senators were present:

1st District-Joseph Hollman.

2d District-Eliab Doud.

14th District-J. M. Robertson.
15th District-John A. Parvin.

21st District-J. R. Reed.

22d District - A. M. Larimer.

27th District-J. Myer.

28th District-Jonathan W. Cattell.

46th District-Addison Oliver.
