MALTROGEN

COMPOSITION

This preparation is composed of 70 per cent heavy extract of Malt combined with 20 per cent pure French Olive Oil, and 10 per cent Glycerine. Each fluid ounce also contains three grains each of Calcium and Sodium glycerophosphates.

PHARMACY

The observing physician will at once recognize the extreme value of such a combination and also its varied field of usefulness. Olive Oil has long been a favorite fat producer, but on account of its tendency to rancidity and subsequent objectionable taste, it is not often relished by the particular patient. By an improved mechanical process we have been enabled to overcome the objectionable qualities of all the component parts of this new product and now present to the profession an exceptionally agreeable and staple addition to the materia medica.

INDICATIONS

Maltrogen will be found especially efficient in chronic nervous disorders, insomnia, malnutrition, and in convalescence after any long or serious illness. Invaluable to nursing mothers or growing children. Anemic, senile or tuberculosis patients will also steadily improve on Maltrogen when combined with their specific treatments.

USES

Disagreeable medications, such as creosote, guaiacol, iodides, bromides and numerous others which may suggest themselves, may be either masked or followed by Maltrogen, which will be found to greatly increase their efficiency.

Intractable Coughs and Colds

-owing their prolongation to constitutional or systemic weakness
-are usually bound to continue until the nutrition and vitality of
the whole body are substantially improved. The well-known
capacity of

GRAY'S GLYCERINE TONIC COMP.

to spur physiologic processes, promote functional activity and
restore the nutritional tone of the whole organism, readily
accounts for the benefits that promptly follow its use in all affec-
tions of the respiratory tract.

¶ When local remedies fail, or at best give but temporary relief,
"Gray's" can be relied upon to so reinforce the natural protec-
tive and restorative forces of the body that even the most per-
sistent catarrhal diseases are quickly controlled and overcome.

DIABETES MELLITUS

as it supplies to the organism the enzymes and hormones, the absence of which is the cause of diabetes.

Each TRYPSOGEN tablet contains the internal secretions of the islands of Langerhans also trypsin and amylopsin, bromide of gold 1/100 grain, bromide of arsenic 1/200 grain.

TRYPSOGEN exerts a profound influence over nutrition, which is shown by a marked increase in weight and strength, hence is a very valuable adjunct in the successful treatment of all diseases accompanied by decline in weight and strength and loss of resisting power; but its special field of usefulness has been in the treatment of diabetes mellitus.

A series of valuable monographs covering recent work in digestion and nutrition, especially in their relation to diabetes, will be sent to any physician on request.
