Form 51. Department Store.

Buying and selling, wholesale and retail, of dry and fancy goods, boots and shoes, clothing, hardware, candies, millinery, cloaks, suits, furniture, carpets and upholstery goods, groceries, musical instruments, jewelry, and all other articles and goods appurtenant to a department store.

Form 52. Same - Longer Form.23

(1) To establish and conduct a general department store. (2) To carry on all or any of the businesses of dry-goods merchants, cloth manufacturers, furriers, haberdashers, hosiers, manufacturers, importers, wholesale and retail dealers of and in textile fabrics of all kinds; milliners, dressmakers, mantuamakers, tailors, hatters, clothiers, furnishers, outfitters, glovers, lace manufacturers, feather dressers, boot and shoe makers; manufacturers and importers and wholesale and retail dealers of and in leather goods, household furniture, ironmongery, china and glassware, crockery and other household fittings and utensils, ornaments, bric-a-brac, stationery, notions, and fancy goods; dealers in meat and provisions, drugs, chemicals, and other articles and commodities of personal and household use and consumption; and generally of and in all manufactured goods, materials, provisions and produce.

(3) To carry on any of the businesses of coach and carriage builders, saddlers, harness-makers, house decorators, sanitary engineers, electrical engineers, and contractors, auctioneers, cabinet-makers, upholsterers, furniture removers, owners of depositories, warehousemen, carriers, storekeepers; manufacturers of and dealers in hardware, jewelry, plated goods, perfumery, soap, toilet articles of all kinds, and articles required for ornament, recreation, or amusement; gold and silversmiths; dealers in precious stones, watchmakers, newspaper proprietors, booksellers, dealers in musical instruments, manufacturers of and dealers in bicycles, tricycles, and motor carriages, and sporting goods of all kinds; and also refreshment contractors, restaurant keepers, wine and liquor dealers, tobacconists, and dealers in mineral, aerated, and other liquors; barbers and hairdressers, 23 Taken from Dill on Corps. farmers, dairymen, market gardeners, nurserymen and florists, photographers and dealers in photographic supplies, printers, lithographers and engravers, dealers in domestic, trained, and fancy animals.

(4) To buy, sell, manufacture, repair, alter, and exchange, let on hire, export, and deal in all kinds of articles and things which may be required for the purposes of any of the said businesses, or commonly supplied or dealt in by persons engaged in any such businesses, or which may seem capable of being profitably dealt with in connection with any of the said businesses.

(5) To provide and conduct refreshment-rooms, newspaperrooms, reading and writing-rooms, dressing-rooms, telephones, and other conveniences for the use of customers and others.

(6) To grant to other persons or corporations the right or privilege to carry on any kind of business on the premises of the company on such terms as the company shall deem expedient or proper.

Form 58. Drugs.

Carrying on the general business of pharmacy and of pharmaceutical chemists, of buying and selling drugs and medicines, and goods of like nature, of buying and selling cigars and tobacco, and fancy goods usually carried in a drug store, and to do and perform any acts incidental thereto.

Form 54. Same.

The purpose for which the corporation is constituted is to buy, sell, manufacture and deal in all kinds of drugs and medicines and acquire apothecary stores, run the same and sell again, and also deal in all kinds of druggists' and apothecary supplies and fixtures.

Form 55. Same.

Carrying on the business of chemists and druggists, to buy, sell and compound medicines, drugs and proprietary articles, and to buy and sell other merchandise.

Form 56. Dry Goods.24

To manufacture, buy, sell, import, and export goods, wares and merchandise of every kind and description; to carry on a general retail and wholesale dry goods business; to sell dry goods on commission; to deal in dress goods of all kinds, white and colored, neckwear, gloves, all articles of cloth, linen, paper or leather used for clothing or ornament, household furnishings, glassware, china, pictures, bric-a-brac, and all articles of personal or household use.

Form 57. Electrical Engineering.

Carrying on the business of electricians and mechanical engineers and manufacturers of and dealers in all apparatus and things required for and capable of being used in connection with the generation, distribution, supply, accumulation and employment of electricity.

Form 58. Electrical Machinery.25

Carrying on the business of manufacturers and dealers in electric motors, dynamos and other electrical machinery, appliances and plants, and buying, selling, manufacturing, repairing, converting, altering, letting or hiring, and dealing in electrical appliances and goods of every kind and character, and machinery of all manner or kind.

Producing and accumulating electricity and electro-motive force, and supplying the same for the production, transmission or use of power for lighting, heating and motive purposes or otherwise, as may be thought advisable, and lighting streets, places and buildings, public or private, by means of electricity or otherwise, or enabling the same to be so lighted.

Form 59. Electrical Supplies.

Manufacturing, installing, buying, selling and in any way dealing in all kinds of appliances, machinery and supplies for electric heating and other electrical purposes, also of manufacturing, buying, selling and in any way dealing in wire, metals, enamel, india rubber, and any substitute therefor, and manu

factures of which one or more of said articles may form a part; and further for the purpose of transacting such other business as may be incidental to the foregoing.

Form 60. Engraving.

Doing business in printing, publishing, engraving and the like; of soliciting and placing advertising, and dealing in articles used in advertising, of manufacturing, buying, selling or otherwise dealing in materials necessary or appertaining to the proper conduct of said business, and generally of conducting in all its branches the business ordinarily carried on by those engaged in a printing and advertising business.

Form 61. Same.

To carry on the business of photo-engraving, illustrating, designing and engraving by chemical process for books, news papers, magazines and other literary works; and for publications of whatever kinds and descriptions, for advertising and other purposes; to build, construct, purchase, hire or otherwise acquire or provide any workshops, copyrights, patents, offices, plant and machinery or other things necessary or for the purpose of carrying out the objects of the company.

Form 62. Express and Teaming.

Doing a general express and teaming business within the State of Massachusetts.

Form 63. Farming and Dealing in Produce.

To raise, produce, cultivate, prepare, buy, sell, manufacture and deal at wholesale and retail in garden, farm and dairy products of all kinds and any and all articles used or capable of being used in connection with said business or any part thereof.

Form 64. Foundry and Machine Shop.

Carrying on a general foundry and machine shop business, manufacturing and dealing in all kinds of metallic castings, machinery, pumps, capstans, winches, tools and all other goods,

wares, merchandise or articles made of brass, iron or other metals or any compounds thereof, doing all kinds of piping and plumbing, installing, altering and repairing all kinds of heating apparatus, and dealing in personal property of all kinds.

Form 65. Framing and Mirrors.

The corporation is constituted for the purpose of manufacturing and making various frames and glass; to sell at retail and wholesale mirror frames and glass, to take and execute contracts for the making, setting up, erecting and framing of mirrors, windows and any other work wherein mirrors, frames or glass are used or required. To manufacture and sell at wholesale and retail merchandise and to take and execute contracts for the sale of the same. To act as agents, factors and representatives for others in the sale of mirrors, frames, glass goods or other merchandise and for the purpose of doing any lawful business incidental to the purposes herein before set forth.

Form 66. Furniture.

To manufacture, prepare, buy, sell, exchange, lease, hire, export, import and generally deal in, as principal or as agent, all kinds of modern and antique furniture, including tables, bureaus, chairs, sofas, sideboards, stoves, furnaces, carpets, rugs, oil-cloths, curtains, laces, embroideries, tapestries, pictures of all sorts, statuary, bric-a-brac, silverware, jewelry and works of art, glassware, and all kinds of articles intended to be used for furnishing or beautifying houses and buildings, public or private, grounds and gardens; to make valuations and appraisals of any articles, goods, wares or merchandise; to supply equipment and furnishings for buildings, gardens and grounds, and to act as interior and exterior decorators, and to supply all articles necessary for any of the above purposes.

Form 67. Gas-Making Machinery.

To manufacture and deal in machinery, apparatus and supplies appropriate and convenient to the manufacture, utilization and distribution of gas for lighting, heating, power, and other purposes; to use and deal in machinery and appliances
