716. Invitation to Christ. (P. M.) From Sion's mount I heard the sound; Gay sprang the flow'rets of the mead, And gladden’d nature smil'd around. Christ's lovely voice perfumes the air. 2 Peace, troubled soul, whose plaintive moan Hath taught these rocks the note of woe; • Cease thy complaint, suppress thy groan, And let thy tears forget to flow. Unburthen here the weighty load ; Safe on the bosom of thy God. That sheaths th' avenger's glittring sword. 4 As spring the winter, day the night, Peace sorrow's gloom shall chase away; Shall’tend thy steps, and near thee stay, DOXOLOGIES AND DISMISSIONS. 717. (L. M.) mo God the Father, God the Son, 1 And God the Spirit, three in one, 718. (S. M.) And saints that dwell below, 719. (L. M.) Make us to feed upon thy word: 720. (C. M.) DATHER, before we hence depart, Send thy good Spirit down : Let him reside in ev'ry heart, And bless the seed that's sowu. 3 Thon fountain of eternal love, Who gav'st thy Son to die, 721. (P. M.) U Fill our hearts with joy and peace; Let us each, thy love possessing, Triumph in redeeming grace. O refresh us, For thy gospel's joyful sound, Ever faithful, Us from earth to call away, May we ever, 722. (S. M.) We'll bless the Saviour's name; Sing ev'ry tongue the same.' And feed thereon and grow; And practise what you know. 723. (P.M.) I M AY the grace of Christ our Saviour, W And the Father's boundless love, With the Holy Spirit's favour, Rest upon us from above. With each other, and the Lord; 724. (C.M.) 725. (P. M.) G LORY, honour, praise, and power, I Be unto the Lamb for ever ; Jesus Christ is our Redeemer, Hallelujah, Amen. 726. (L. M.) 1 CHRISTIANS! brethren ! ere we part, u Join every voice, and every heart; One solemn hymn to God we raise, One final song of grateful praise. But there is yet a happier shore ; 8 Now to God the Three in One, Be eternal glory done ; 727. (C.M.) VLORY to the Almighty Lord, U Who gave to all things breath; Glory unto the gracious word, Who sav'd us by his death; By whom all things do move : 728. (P.M.) To God, the Father, King supreme, 1 And Christ, who did his Church redeem, And to the Holy Ghost, 729. (P. M.) WIVE glory to God, ye children of men, And publish abroad, again and again ; The Son's glorious merit, the Father's free grace, The gifts of the Spirit, to Adam's lost race. 730. (P.M.) And glorify the Son. To bless the great Three-One. |
