BLACK RIVER AND ST. LAWRENCE.

NOT IN OPERATION.

This company was organized, by filing articles of association in the office of the Secretary of State, on the 30th day of June, 1868, with the expectation of using wond rails

, in pursuance of chapter 182 of Laws of 1868. The wood rails were a failure and the road has not been operated since 1871. An agreement is now pending with the Carthage and Adirondack Railroad Company, by which this company proposes to turn over its property to the Carthage and 'Adirondack Railroad Company upon condition that it will complete this road.
