This company has a very costly terminus on Jamaica Bay at Canarsie, the same having been filled in the bay at a large expense, upon which has been erected a large hotel at a cost of about $35,000, and other buildings at considerable cost. The company also excavated about one mile (from the terminus of the road) in the bay to reach deep water for a steamboat channel, and now maintains the same.
