Beginning at the center of section number 9, town 3 south, range 1 west, and running thence south to the south line of said section line. Thence east to the quarter section line running north and south in the southeast quarter of said section 9. Thence to the center of line running east and west through section number 16. Thence south 2 rods, thence east to the center of the public highway running north and south through section number 15. Thence north 2 rods, thence along the boundary line of Sharp park in an easterly, southerly and southeasterly direction to the southeast corner of Sharp park. Thence following the boundaries of said Sharp park, on its east side to the northeast corner of said Sharp park, and to the present south line of the city of Jackson. Thence westerly along the present south line of said city of Jackson to the place of beginning.

The question of annexation of the above described territory was submitted to the electors at the general election held November 2, 1926, and was adopted by the following vote: Whole number of votes cast was 11,447, and they were given as follows: In the city of Jackson, 7,753 votes were cast for, and 2,695 votes were cast against said annexation. In the territory to be annexed, 52 votes were cast for, and 40 votes were cast against said annexation. In the territory in the township outside the territory to be annexed, 336 votes were cast for, and 571 votes were east against said annexation.

KENT COUNTY.

In the matter of the incorporation of the city of East Grand Rapids.

Incorporated under the provisions of Act 279, P. A. 1909, as amended, and consisting of the following described territory, to-wit:

All of sections twenty-seven (27) and twenty-eight (28) of township seven (7) north of range eleven (11) west, lying south of the center line of Robinson Road and Cascade Road. All of sections thirty-three (33) and thirty-four (34) of township seven (7) north of range eleven (11) west. The north fractional one-half (%) of west one-quarter (4) of section three (3), of township six (6) north of range eleven (11) west. The north one-half (%) of the northeast fractional one-quarter (4), and the southeast one-quarter (14) of the northeast fractional one-quarter (4), and the east one-half (%) of the east one-half (12) of the southwest one-quarter (14) of the northeast fractional one-quarter (4), except the west five acres; and the northeast one-quarter (14) of the southeast one-quarter (4), and the south one-half (1%) of the northwest onequarter (14) of the southeast one-quarter (4), and the northeast onequarter (14) of the northwest one-quarter (14) of the southeast onequarter (14) of section four (4) of township six (6) north of range eleven (11) west.

The question of incorporation of said city was submitted to the electors at a special election held December 14, 1926, and was adopted by the following vote: Whole number of votes cast for and against said incorporation was 278, of which 205 votes were cast for, and 73 votes were cast against said incorporation.

KENT COUNTY.

In the matter of the annexation of territory from Walker township to the city of Grand Rapids.

Annexed by the board of supervisors under the provisions of Act 279, P. A. 1909, as amended, and consisting of the following described territory, to-wit:

The northeast 1/4 of section 27, the southeast 14 of section 22, all of town 7 north, range 12 west, Walker township, also described as commencing at the intersection of Fulton street and Covell avenue, thence north along Covell avenue to Seventh street, extended west, thence east along Seventh street extended to Bristol avenue, thence south along Bristol avenue to Fulton street, thence west to the place of beginning, and all in the township of Walker, county of Kent, and state of Michigan.

The question of the annexation of the above described territory was submitted to the electors at an election held April 5, 1926, and was adopted by the following vote: In the city and township voting collectively, there were 7,729 votes cast for, and 2,805 votes cast against said annexation. In the territory to be annexed, there were 15 votes cast for said annexation, and none were cast against it.

KENT COUNTY.

In the matter of the annexation of territory from Grand Rapids township to the city of Grand Rapids.

Annexed by the board of supervisors under the provisions of Act 279, P. A. 1909, as amended, and consisting of the following described territory, to-wit:

All of the northwest 1/4 of section 28, township 7 north, range 11 west, Grand Rapids township, except commencing on the east and west quarter line 2282.2 feet east of the west quarter corner of said section; thence

east 357.8 feet to the north and south quarter line of said section; thence north on said north and south quarter line 1315.34 feet more or less to the south line of Lonsdale Acres, thence west on said south line of said Lonsdale Acres 357.8 feet more or less to the east line of Mayfair Plat; thence south 1315.34 feet more or less to the place of beginning, and being in the township of Grand Rapids, Kent county, Michigan.

The question of the annexation of the above described territory was submitted to the electors at an election held April 4, 1927, and was adopted by the following vote: In the city and township voting collectively, 6,568 votes were cast for, and 2,944 votes were cast against said annexation. In the territory to be annexed, 23 votes were cast for, and 5 votes were cast against said annexation.

KENT COUNTY.

In the matter of the annexation of territory from Paris township to the city of Grand Rapids.

Annexed by the board of supervisors under the provisions of Act 279, P. A. 1909, as amended, and consisting of the following described territory, to-wit:

All of section 4, town 6 north, range 11 west, described as the west fractional half, and the west 12 of the southwest 1/4 of the northeast 14, and the west 5 acres of the east 1/2 of the southwest 1/4 of the north- › east 14, and the northwest 1/4 of the northwest 1/4 of the southeast 14, and the south 12 of the southeast 14, in the township of. Paris, Kent county, Michigan.

The question of the annexation of the above described territory was submitted to the electors at an election held April 4, 1927, and was adopted by the following vote: In the city and township voting collectively, 6,348 votes were cast for, and 2,919 votes were cast against said annexation. In the territory to be annexed, 27 votes were cast for, and 14 votes were cast against said annexation.
