The Station takes considerable pride in the fact that it now has on file an almost complete list of the agricultural papers published in the United States, besides some from foreign countries, and some not strictly treating of agriculture. These papers come to the Station in exchange for its reports and bulletins. While of the highest value to those connected with the Station as the expression of agricultural experience and sentiment, they are placed where they can can be partly used by the agricultural students and others. of the University, as well as by visitors. The Station is glad to receive seeds or plants of new varieties and when possible will give the same an impartial trial, announcing the results in its reports. Other articles, as machinery or materials of agricultural interest, will be received and placed among our exhibits: acknowledgment of them in the report and exhibition will be considered as discharging the obligations of the Station to the donors. In case of articles which appear of sufficient general interest to merit it, appropriate tests will be instituted, provided the other work of the Station will permit, and the results of such tests published for the information of the farmers of the state. In no case, however, will the Station recommend and endorse any such article otherwise than, as above stated, by publishing the results of actual tests.
