About the author (2005)

BISWAJEET PATTANAYAK (Ph.D., D.Litt., Fellow (AIMA)), Director, Asian School of Business Management, Bhubaneswar, has distinguished himself in the many and varied positions he has held. He has been Pro-Vice Chancellor, KIIT (Deemed University), Director, IBAT School of Management, Bhubaneswar, and Director, Indian Institute of Bank Management (IIBM), Guwahati. He has also served with distinction as a former Professor and Chairperson of HRM at IIM Indore, and as Professor at IIM Lucknow and NITIE, Mumbai, besides serving in organizations like SAIL and the ESSAR Group.

Professor Pattanayak's presentation on Team Building and Leadership, based on the Oscar nominated Hindi movie Lagaan at the 62nd Annual Convention of International Council of Psychologists was highly appreciated.

Professor Pattanayak has more than 75 research publications to his credit in such prestigious journals as Organizational Development Journal (USA), HRD International (UK), International Journal of Psychology (UK), and International Journal of HRD & Management (UK). He is also the author of 17 books.

His broad areas of interest include business psychology, organizational psychology, organizational behaviour, turnaround strategy, strategic HRM and human resource management, and specifically, organizational citizenship behaviour, organizational effectiveness, corporate excellence, organizational restructuring and transformation, and creating performing organizations.
