Pulling from some of the most recent literature on the topic, it delineates the major uses, actions, and effects (both positive and negative) of each major psychopharmacological agent. The two most appealing additions to this book, setting it apart from its competition, are some rather compelling side bars focussed on critically thinking about the use and misuses of psychopharmacological agents, and the wonderful appendix that lists the major psychopharcalogical agents, with generic name, trade name, and manufacturers. I would highly recommend this book to any undergraduate or graduate student/professor with interest in/instructing a course in psychopharmacology. Furthermore, I would recommend it to anyone, both layperson and expert, who might have an interest in learning more about this complex area of study.
