The aim of this book is to present a picture of past and present Polynesian medicinal plants and was produced after an extensive review of the literature on Polynesia, interviews with many Polynesian healers, and botanical collecting from Polynesia. The author hopes that this book will provide a general foundation on this topic but warns that many of the plants discussed have not been tested for safety or efficacy.
